Ninth Article!!!
My ninth peer-reviewed article just appeared in the Mexican peer-reviewed journal Retos Internacionales. The article is entitled “Is the New Left today’s French New Right?,” Retos Internacionales 5 (Fall 2011), pp. 85-105.

Fall and Winter Projects
I hope you are all well! I am now into my sixth week of teaching at the TEC de MONTERREY (CAMPUS QUERETARO). This term I am teaching the following courses:
1) International Relations Theories 1
2) Geopolitics
3) Citizenry and the New Europe
4) Islamist Movements in the Middle East.
In addition, I have changed the title of my second book. It is now called The French New Right: Three More Interpretations. I anticipate that it will be out in 2012.
Second, I am working on two other books, an edited collection called Global Violence: A Reader and The 11 Lessons of Football. Those are longer-term projects for 2013 or 2014 respectively.

New Book Project: Football (Soccer), Politics, and Culture
My second book, The French New Right: Three More Interpretations, is currently with my publisher. I am waiting for the proofs and hope that the book will be published by the fall or early 2012.
My new project is a book uniting my two main passions: football (soccer) and politics/culture.

Tenure and completion of second book

The events in the Arab world, the stunning events in the Arab world, have captured our attention worldwide!
And good news for me recently:
1) I received my tenure at the TEC de MONTERREY (CAMPUS QUERETARO).
2) I completed my book The French New Right: Three More Interpretations. It should be out in print this year or next! I will keep you all updated!

It has been a while since I last wrote in Big and Strong as a Palm Tree!
But I want to update you about my academic accomplishments recently:
1) Reviews of my book Where Have All The Fascists Gone? (Ashgate, 2007) appeared in E-extreme 9 (2) (2008), Journal for the Study of Radicalism 2 (2) (2009), Patterns of Prejudice 43 (2) (2009), E+D (Germany) (2009), Political Studies Review 8 (2010), and Contemporary Review (October 1, 2010).
