10th Peer-Reviewed Article!

It has been a while since I wrote here, but I have some good news! My tenth academic peer-reviewed article was recently published in a new journal called Fascism, which is based in Holland. See the links for the journal below:

New Year 2012 Agenda!

Happy new year to all those that follow my blog!

In the winter of 2012, I will teach 4 courses at the TEC de Monterrey (Campus Queretaro):

1) International Politics
2) European Politics
3) International Relations Theories II
4) Islamist Movements in the Middle East.

This year I also intend to publish my book The French New Right: Three More Interpretations, publish more peer-reviewed articles, and give talks in diverse locations.

Ninth Article!!!

My ninth peer-reviewed article just appeared in the Mexican peer-reviewed journal Retos Internacionales. The article is entitled “Is the New Left today’s French New Right?,” Retos Internacionales 5 (Fall 2011), pp. 85-105.

Fall and Winter Projects

I hope you are all well! I am now into my sixth week of teaching at the TEC de MONTERREY (CAMPUS QUERETARO). This term I am teaching the following courses:

1) International Relations Theories 1

2) Geopolitics

3) Citizenry and the New Europe

4) Islamist Movements in the Middle East.

In addition, I have changed the title of my second book. It is now called The French New Right: Three More Interpretations. I anticipate that it will be out in 2012.

Second, I am working on two other books, an edited collection called Global Violence: A Reader and The 11 Lessons of Football. Those are longer-term projects for 2013 or 2014 respectively.

New Book Project: Football (Soccer), Politics, and Culture

My second book, The French New Right: Three More Interpretations, is currently with my publisher. I am waiting for the proofs and hope that the book will be published by the fall or early 2012.


My new project is a book uniting my two main passions: football (soccer) and politics/culture.
