I am a Full Professor in the Department of International Relations and Humanities at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Querétaro in Mexico. I received my BA and MA from York University in Toronto and PhD from McGill University in Montreal. I completed post-doctoral work on the International Criminal Court at DePaul University in Chicago. I previously taught political science at George Brown College, Wilfrid Laurier University, and University of Windsor. I am the author of Where Have All The Fascists Gone? (Ashgate, 2007). My second book, Rethinking the French New Right: Alternatives to modernity (Routledge, 2013), was published in April 2013. My third book is The World Through Soccer: The Cultural Impact of a Global Sport (Rowman and Littlefied, 2014). My journalism has been published in Canada's National Post and the Washington Post and my poetry in The Toronto Quarterly. I am a massive soccer fan! My favourite teams are Toronto FC, Liverpool, Hapoel Beersheba, Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Red Star Belgrade, FK Sarajevo, and Querétaro FC. You can reach me @ tamir.baron@gmail.com or tbaron@itesm.mx!
